Mission and Vision
The mission of Looking Glass Media is to deliver person-centered, employment-focused services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing instruction in creating and maintaining blog-based websites that amplify individual voices and build transferable skills, work readiness, and pathways to competitive, integrated employment.
Looking Glass Media envisions a community where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the tools, confidence, and support to share their voices, pursue their interests, and achieve meaningful employment in integrated work settings.
Starting Over
“We want you to succeed,” and with those words, another adventure begins.
Starting over for me is like second nature. I have started and failed at several businesses, projects, and hobbies. I have also found success and what I love while simultaneously finding myself in that process.
Here are a few things I have done to help combat the self-doubt the creeps in.

Logos, merchandise and more. Anyone can create nice graphics. We think it’s better to create memorable ones.

About us
Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities face significant barriers related to traditional employment and job training that align with their interests and strengths. One of these challenges includes being put on a waitlist for vocational rehabilitation services due to a lack of providers, and only 17% of people with I/DD have paid work. However, many want to work but lack access to appropriate support, opportunities, and digital tools.
Looking Glass Media addresses this gap by providing a supportive vocational environment in which participants develop marketable digital skills while expressing their identities and passions. Digital media and content creation are growing employment sectors that offer flexible, skill-based opportunities well-suited to diverse learning styles.
